Academic Experience

Dr. Emmanuel Rosario Nieves obtained his bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. He later obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Carlos Albizu University, San Juan Campus, which is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). After completing his graduate studies, Dr. Rosario Nieves completed a 2-years postdoctoral residency in Clinical Neuropsychology at the Institute for Clinical Neurosciences, PLLC, which is recognized by The Academy of the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology (AABN) and The American Board of Professional Neuropsychology (ABN).

Dr. Rosario Nieves worked as a staff neuropsychologist at the Institute for Clinical Neurosciences, PLLC., where he conducted neuropsychological assessments and cognitive rehabilitation on people who sustained a traumatic brain injury. Dr. Rosario Nieves also worked as a consultant for long-term care and rehabilitation facilities conducting neuropsychological assessments to assist a multidisciplinary team regarding differential diagnosis between different types of dementia, treatment planning, and determining a person's capability for independent living.

Dr. Emmanuel Rosario Nieves has been trained to perform different types of assessments, such as psychological, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological. He specialized in conducting neuropsychological assessments with people who experienced different neurological and psychological disorders (e.g., Traumatic Brain Injury, Mild Neurocognitive Impairment, Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's Disease, Cerebrovascular Accidents, Psychiatric Disorders, etc.). Dr. Rosario Nieves is a native Spanish speaker capable of performing his clinical work in English and Spanish.

Dr. Emmanuel Mascorro Pinto is a philanthropist, clinical researcher, thanatologist, and licensed clinical psychologist established in Texas.

​

Dr. Emmanuel Mascorro Pinto obtained his bachelor's degree in criminal justice with a concentration in Forensic Psychology. He completed his master's and a Ph.D.  degree in Clinical Psychology at Carlos Albizu University, a program approved by the American Psychology Association in Puerto Rico. He later completed a postdoctoral residency in a geriatric and primary care setting with Deer Oaks Behavioral Solutions in Fort Worth and obtained a professional license in Texas.

Dr. Emmanuel Mascorro Pinto also obtained studies and research in the field of Thanatology, providing multiple workshops, seminars, and publications associated with the areas of traumatic loss and death/dying. Dr. Mascorro Pinto also has multiple professional affiliations and leadership roles.

Dr. Emmanuel Mascorro Pinto has worked as a Clinical and Internship Training Assistant, which focused on the professional, clinical, and administrative development of doctoral students of doctoral clinical psychology programs Ph.D. and Psy.D.  He also was a Professor and Supervisor in the program Bachelor of Science in Psychology and the School Psychology from Carlos Albizu University in Puerto Rico. Dr. Mascorro Pinto offered multiple courses and workshops related to Physiological Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Methodology of Research, Self-Care, and Clinical Case Conceptualization.

Dr. Emmanuel Mascorro Pinto has provided multiple seminars and workshops to different communities and corporate related to substance abuse, community violence, resilience, motivation towards self-improvement, bullying parenting skills, behavior modification, and social skills.

Dr. Lismarie Reyes Velez is a Professional Psychologist. She obtained her bachelor's degree in criminal justice with a concentration in Forensic Psychology. Dr. Reyes Velez completed her master's and a Psy.D.  degree in Clinical Psychology at Carlos Albizu University, a program approved by the American Psychology Association in Puerto Rico. She later completed a postdoctoral residency in a geriatric and primary care setting with Deer Oaks Behavioral Solutions in Fort Worth.

Dr. Lismarie Reyes Velez also obtained specialized forensic competence in the field of Sexual Abuse. She received formal training by the Program of Assistance to Victims of Sexual Abuse and their Families (PAF 2010) in Puerto Rico. She obtained skills in providing forensic interviews, assessments, clinical diagnosis, and psychotherapeutic treatment for children and teenagers victims of sexual abuse. Dr. Lismarie Reyes developed a manual of clinical guidelines for mental health professionals to develop coping strategies, manage emotional/behavioral aftermaths of the sexual abuse/trauma and safety/protective strategies for mothers of children victims of sexual abuse.

Dr. Reyes was also a professor in the program Bachelor of Science in Social Worker from the Caribbean University of Puerto Rico. The Courses and workshops she offered were related to Social Psychology, Social Science, Fundamentals of Psychology, Human Behavior, and Sociology.

Clinical Experience

Dr. Lismarie Reyes Velez has obtained clinical experience throughout multiple settings such as correctional/forensic, hospital/rehabilitation, and community-based organizations working with diverse clinical populations. She has provided multiple conferences and workshops in the high-risk community, public schools and governmental offices in the areas of; prevention of sexual abuse, sexual coercion, healthy relationships, prevention of community violence, grief/traumatic loss, resilience, bullying, parenting skills, behavior modification, and social skills. 

She currently serves as a consultant, psychometrist, and resource for bilingual community outreach programs.

 

Dr. Reyes Velez has worked with different clinical populations specializing in children and adolescents, which has worked with conditions such as: 

  • Sexual Abuse,

  • Depression, 

  • Anxiety, 

  • Dementia,

  • Attention Deficits and Hyperactive Disorder, 

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and others.
